Josh, a bright-eyed, young New York defense lawyer, relocates to the small town of East Peck, S.C., where he and the local oddballs that make up his team of investigators take on delightfully absurd murder cases from their makeshift law office in the back of the town's taxidermy shop.
Trial & Error will focus on a different murder case each season for maximum comic effect. Larry Henderson is a small-town poetry professor being defended by a novice attorney, Josh Simon in a murder trial: After his wife went through a glass door, he interrupted his 911 call to talk to the cable company, which is both suspicious and weird. Trial & Error season 2 has the title “Lady, Killer”. The series continues to parody detective stories in the upcoming episodes, talking about the provincial town and its narrow-minded inhabitants.
