The show follows a group of unrelated characters. One of these is Martin Bohm (Kiefer Sutherland), a widower and a single father who is haunted by an inability to connect to his mute and severely autistic 10-year-old son, Jake. Martin has tried everything he could do in order to reach his son, but at no success. To spend his time, Jake has cast-off cell phones, disassembling them and manipulating the parts. This allows him to see the world in a different way entirely.
TV series "Touch" tells the stories of people from all over the world who have certain influence on each other either evidently or unwittingly. TV show follows Martin Bohm, a widower and a single father, who tries to find an approach to his 11-year-old son Jake. A caring father has tried everything to make a contact with the boy who suffers from autism. Jake never speaks; he doesn’t display any emotions and doesn’t let anybody touch him. The child is obsessed by numbers and spends entire days taking down rows of incomprehensible numbers into his notebook and taking apart broken cell phones. After Jake runs away from school several times Martin is visited by a social worker who thinks that Martin can’t handle his son on his own. Jake is taken to the clinic despite his father’s desperate objections. However, things change when Martin meets Arthur Teller, a professor who deals with children with extraordinary analytical skills. Arthur comes to conclusion that Jake sees variations of numbers and coefficients which connect all the people in the world. The boy can draw parallels between past and present and even predict future. Teller tells Martin that Jake tries to connect different people from all over the world at a certain moment and that his responsibility is to help his son make it by decoding the child’s message. Touch season 2 keeps following Martin Bohm and his autistic son Jake who is obsessed by numbers and broken cell phones. However, Martin comes to realize that this is not just a mental health disorder when he meets Professor Arthur Teller. Teller comes to conclusion that Jake sees variations of numbers and coefficients which connect all the people in the world. The boy can draw parallels between past and present and even predict future. Teller tells Martin that Jake tries to connect different people at a certain place and time and that Martin is responsible for making it happen by decoding his child’s messages. In season 2 Martin and Jake are trying to escape from the authorities and come to Los Angeles where they meet Amelia’s mother Lucy. Her daughter has been missing for three years now and Lucy is desperate to find her. Martin is trying to help the hopeless mother but he can’t draw too much public attention either.
