The first season of the series having the name of Greenleaf introduces an observer with a quite decent, as it seems, the family which for several years is a true example for all the other people telling them about the importance of the will of God in human life. Heroes series created on the territory a Protestant church with the intention to convince all the people coming in that it is faith in God opens before them the way to eternal life. The main characters are trying to convey to people the essence of the right of life to save them from God's judgment. They thirst to force the parishioners their opinion which is that it is the moral and ethical values are the most important and should be the first place for each person. Long-term efforts in this field have not been wasted. They received great authority having collected a considerable army of believers that significantly improve their financial condition. However, none of the parishioners not even paying attention to what their preachers far from being a model of decorum. Especially, it concerns the female half of the family. The wife of the bishop is engaged in this business just for the sake of her own enrichment because more than anything else she loves money and the fate of her family practically no interest. Nothing good can be said about sister in law. She is far removed from her mother in law. Woman has learned to skillfully manipulate people the same again for her own benefit. What else is capable of this family?
